Sustenance


If I could give you all I had,
I would give it and would be glad.
But I cannot, you see,
for it comes from God and not from me.

These things of life we cannot store,
but we can always go back for more.

I know that God has all you need,
and if you will only take this seed.
Just plant it in your intellect;
show it love and not neglect.

It will surely come to be
that blindness leaves and you will see
that you would give me all you had.
Yes, you would give it and be glad.

For all these things you will do,
but they come from God, and not just you.
