STATUES

God took me to a place this morning
Very quickly and without warning.
He took me very far away.
to a place that I may ever stay.

God said to me," for now just see".
As I looked out over all humanity.
Standing there like statues in the park.
All living their lives in the dark.

Frozen still - so it would seem,
as if living their lives in a dream.
I watched as God walked the rows,
and whispered to the ones he chose.

"Hear me now, open your eyes."
And suddenly they would realize,
where they were and where the had been,
standing there - now free from sin.

I saw great and minor prophets here.
One of them whispered in an ear.
The statue opened his eyes and looked around
then went back to sleep, so very sound.

God said, "it matters what you see
upon awaking - the messenger or Me.
They're free to see what they choose,
some know it's Me and others snooze."

"You too can do this", God had said,
but I let it go to my head.
Standing in front of a statues stare--
--saw only me standing there.

A tear came, I began to weep
my ego had caused - more sleep.
God said, "it can take many tries,
before you vanish from their eyes."

"Let them see Me as they may
upon first awakening to light of day.
For it's as difficult as it may seem
when first you know life's all a dream."

Once again I tried to tell the story.
This time gave God all the glory.
For only God can revive,
I saw a statue come alive.

As the multitudes all danced and cheered,
I realized we had all disappeared.
Now the dreamers journeys done
as once again we are all "ONE" .
