His Voice, My Hand
We must have a shift of thought .
If we are to judge our prosperity by the standards of God,then we must also use the measure of God. If we speak of spiritual things and then measure our rewards by earthly standards, we bind ourselves by our own unit of measure.
The problem is, it is easy to measure the earthly rewards, net worth in dollars, stocks, bonds, gold bars, and property can all be measured in definite units. Likewise the rewards of the ego, beauty, fame, and power are readily recognized.
If you score your game (life) by earthly things then you most certainly must be playing an earthly game. As such, The person who plays the money game the best usually will wind up with the most money.
However if we score the game by spiritual standards we now have a spiritual game, unfortunately these scores are invisible.
Money cannot buy love,
money cannot buy health,
money cannot buy happiness,
and money cannot do Gods work--only we can do Gods work and the rewards cannot be measured buy any earthly standards for these standards are too small to encompass what we are to measure. We might just as well try to measure the oceans by teaspoons.
What price is there for genuine love ?
The LOVE that goes beyond all reason, bounds and description.
This is the reward we seek and it is not measured by any earthly standard.
" May the peace of God that passes all understanding ..."
These pages can only describe, in my inadequate words, what I have found and in thier feeble way try to explain what I see as the rewards by Gods yardstick.
